What the worksheet asks for
The calculator workflow starts with the selected state, then walks through both parties’ income, assets, debts, and state-specific particulars. Countable income streams feed each party’s formula income; balances and non-automated adjustments are disclosed separately. Common categories include wages, bonuses, dividends and interest, business or company income, self-employment adjustments, existing support obligations, debts assigned by order, health insurance, child care, tuition, extraordinary expenses, and parenting time.
Sources and limits
- Uses the Indiana Judicial Branch Guideline Schedules for Weekly Support Payments under the Indiana Child Support Rules and Guidelines updated effective May 14, 2024.
- Guideline 3D states that combined weekly adjusted income amounts falling between schedule amounts should be rounded to the nearest amount.
- Guideline 3F allocates the total child support obligation between parents in proportion to their weekly adjusted income; the noncustodial/paying parent pays that proportionate share.
- Work-related child care, health insurance premiums, extraordinary health care, extraordinary education expenses, parenting-time credit, Social Security credits, post-secondary worksheets and deviations require the full Indiana worksheet.
