Guideline Calculator

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Built to make a difficult worksheet easier to read.

Guideline Calculator is an independent educational project from AetheriX. It helps people organize support-calculation inputs, understand the cited state method, and prepare better questions for a lawyer or court self-help office.

Who maintains it

The project is maintained by a small product and research team. We read the public statutes, court rules, agency worksheets, and official instructions for each state we release. A state page names its source, effective period, supported scenario, and known exclusions so a visitor can inspect the same boundaries we use in the code.

How a state is released

  1. Collect primary sources. We start with the current state statute, rule, worksheet, agency guidance, and official examples.
  2. Map the worksheet. We document income definitions, deductions, custody branches, caps, add-ons, and fields that require a court decision.
  3. Test the boundaries. We test representative examples, low- and high-income limits, rounding, and cases where the source is ambiguous.
  4. Publish the limits. If a scenario is not implemented or cannot be verified, the page says so and withholds a numeric result.

Corrections and updates

Guidelines and forms change. We record the date a source was checked and review released modules before their next review deadline. Send a broken source, outdated rule, or calculation concern to the corrections team; include the state and the page URL, never confidential case details.

Independent tool. This site is not a court, government agency, law firm, or certified court calculator. Estimates are educational starting points and can differ from a court order.
