Spousal support in every state
Some rules produce an estimate. Others provide a range, a limit, or factors for a judge to weigh. This record explains what this site can calculate and why it cannot supply an award in the remaining states.
Reviewed September 29, 2026. These independent worksheets do not determine eligibility or replace a court order. A missing calculation does not mean that no support is owed. Source retrieval and implementation limits are identified for each state.
Choose your state worksheet, then select child support, spousal support, or both. The final report includes the requested components, assumptions and source links. Use its print button to print or save a PDF. A combined amount appears only when calculation order, income adjustments and payment direction have been verified.
California family support
California Family Code §92 defines family support as combined child and spousal support without separately designated amounts. Section 4066 addresses qualifying unallocated orders or stipulations. Our report preserves the separate components; it does not create that legal order or calculate tax treatment. Temporary-support practices can differ by court; long-term support requires statutory factor review.
